CD on Resources for Faculty Searches
These resources are found on the ISU ADVANCE Resources for Faculty Searches CD.
This page provides various resources for conducting a faculty search, with emphasis on best practices for recruiting diverse candidates. You will find more than 20 short information pages, which are listed below, including guidelines and suggestions for the search process, sample forms, and ideas for discussions to have with departmental faculty. These files were compiled by Dr. Bonita Glatz, who was the ADVANCE/Provost Office Faculty Fellow during Spring Semester 2008. A complete copy of the ISU Search Manual (Resource Guide for Recruiting Excellent and Diversity Faculty) is available at the Web site of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. The ISU Library contains many valuable resources on recruiting faculty. Follow the link for a list of selected titles. For additional resources for ISU faculty and staff, including search manuals and advice from other institutions, and suggestions for advertising outlets for open positions, see Resources for Search Committees.
