This administrative fellowship will support a faculty member or P&S employee in developing an important part of the ISU ADVANCE Program. Description of Fellowship. The administrative fellow will work with the ISU ADVANCE Program and the Associate Provost for Faculty Advancement and Diversity to enhance the university's programs and materials on work-life balance and flexible faculty careers, particularly for faculty in STEM fields. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in or experience with such issues and/or programs as well as excellent scholarly, communication and leadership skills. The fellowship will be up to half time for one or two semesters, beginning in Fall 2008. The final mix of responsibilities will be determined by the fellow and the associate provost. Eligibility: The program is open to tenured associate or full professors, non-tenure-eligible faculty, and P&S employees. Tenured faculty are preferred. Applicants should have been employed by ISU for at least two years. Since only replacement funds are associated with this program, full-time employees are preferred. Associate Professors should recognize that administrative assignments in this fellowship program are designed to provide leadership experience yet they may not contribute directly in other ways to the promotion to Full Professor. All applications must be approved by the department chair or supervisor. Application timeline.
